assorted owls
I drew these at my sketch group last week. I was researching owls before I did the sketches and was really impressed by the huge variety of different owls out there. Some are really creepy - google the great gray owl to see what I'm talking about.

I saw some great Owls up close at a bird of prey centre. They really are bewitching. Running the gamut of personality from cute through wise to plain spooky! Your lower sketch has a perfect expression... reminds me of my old english teacher at school! Why owls then... perhaps a book...? PS. think you are right to go with the image you did on the promo cards... looks good!

I was drawing owls because one of my husband's musical projects is called 100 Owls. I guess I was inspired :)
Love the chubby baby owl. Its eyes remind me of yours.. big and juicy.
