So sorry about your Grandmother. It's lovely that she passed on the watercolour skills to you. Every picture you do will be a fitting tribute :)
Love the isolated use of colour in your berries on a bow and the charity house. They really compliment your destinctive, beautiful line work. As for the blog banner... I love the broccoli, but I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice to go with the obvious choice as it were. Your work has so much more depth, and I like the quirky name set against some other visual narrative. Just my view though :)
Thanks Matt. To be honest, I really haven't done much with watercolors since that day, about 12 years ago. But lately I've been feeling like it might be time to try them out again. I have all the necessary supplies and some good quality paint...
I actually wasn't thinking of using the broccoli sketch for the banner. I'm trying to draw a character who'd be announcing the name of my blog. So far I'm not excited about any of the characters I've drawn though. I'll keep at it :) Thanks for the input.
