Naked Lady
I've been away for a few days - the boy and I went to visit my family out in small town Saskatchewan. Just before we left I went to a drop in figure drawing session. I recently discovered that I couldn't draw a person in a simple pose without using reference and decided that I should get back in to practice. I wasn't trying to draw her realistically or proportionately, I was more interested in figuring out where the bones and muscles were so that I could better exaggerate them. Here are some of my sketches from that session...

You have some really nice gestures here, especially in the first and last images in the linework. I haven't been to a figure drawing session in about year, so I'd like to get back, too.
Thanks Bruce. I hadn't done any figure drawing since I finished art school, which was about 5 years ago. I had forgotten how much fun it was to draw the human figure. And it was so helpful - I'll be going back again.
I like the decrepitness of the characters outline.. it's strangely normal??
