I got back from my vacation on Sunday. It was great. I love going on road trip adventures with Dario. We just laugh and have so much fun. After an entire summer of all work and no play I really needed that. The break was good for me. I feel refreshed and inspired and excited to work out some ideas.
Our road trip took us to Nelson and then to my Aunt's cabin in Salmon Arm. Here are some shots from the trip.
In a coffee shop in Nelson...
GOATS!!!!!!
I love old hippy busker couples.
On a pub patio in Nelson...
In this shot I'm enjoying the new rosemary olive oil Triscuit crackers while waiting for the ferry. They're wonderful. If you like rosemary you must try them.

It was pretty fun, and definitely relaxing.
Welcome back, looked like a great trip! Well done on finishing the book (from what I can see it looks absolutely brilliant, sorry I haven't been checking your blog like you have been with mine..been distracted... ta for the comment by the way!). It must be a satisfying, rewarding feeling to have finished the creative labours and have the published book to look forward to. A prize well earned! Hope I get to know what it feels like someday :)
Thanks. It is satisfying to have completed the book, but I think it will sink in more when I get a printed copy. I hope to someday be able to do what you're doing though, write my own book and illustrate it how I want. And take as much time as I want.
Good luck.
