My studio

I'm currently working on a couple of pieces, but I'm not ready to post those. In the mean time, I just cleaned my studio so I thought I'd take a few pictures of the space I use to do my work.

I used to have this whole room to myself. Back then I had my drawing table, a desk for my computer and an other desk just for working at. However, my fiancé (his name is Dario) recently moved in with me so I had to lose a couple desks and half of the room. But I still have more than enough space - although I wish I didn't have to use my drawing table as a desk. It was a good trade off though. Dario is really creative and it's nice to have someone to bounce ideas off. So far the arrangement is working out very well.

Here's a closer look at the inspiration board above my drawing table.

I keep all of my art supplies in the cabinet against the far wall.

And there's Dario on his side of the room. I think he's pretending to work.

That's all. I hope you enjoyed the tour!

Hi Jacqueline,

Wow, looks like a tight squeeze to me. But a good trade-off to have someone to bounce creative ideas off! Thanks for the peek. Is that a Mac Powerbook? -- looks just like mine.

Cheers,

Ana

Yes it is a Mac Power book. I got it a couple years ago and I love it. What a great little machine.

The space is a bit tight when compared to an entire room, but it's a lot more than I used to have. Back when I had roomates my studio was also my bedroom. That was a tight squeeze.

So he DOES exist then. Or did you just take a picture of some random dude just so you could post him in order to tell me he's real. Pfffft. I'm on to you lady.

Yes Colin, it was all just a ruse to trick you into believing that Dario is a real person and not a figment of my imagination. But you're far too clever to fall for my schemes.

"And now," cried Max, "let the wild rumpus start!"

I saw that Where The Wild Things Are on your inspiration board and had to say that, ha, ha.

It's kind of nice to see how other artists keep their studios, a little insight to their creative process, I guess. You just remind me that I need to do some serious cleaning and organizing in mine. Yikes.

If you like to see how other people keep their studios you should check out this site:

There's some pretty cool ones, much better than mine.
